There are many stories of haunted houses around the world, but here is one of the most famous:

The Amityville haunted house is located in Long Island, New York. It was the scene of a horrific murder in 1974, where six members of a family were killed by the eldest son of the family. Shortly after, a new family bought the house, but they soon started reporting strange paranormal phenomena, such as strange voices, noises and movements. They finally left home after only 28 days. Many testimonies were collected and books and films were produced on the history of the Amityville haunted house.
