Beneath the scorching, sun-scorched sky, Where arid sands stretch endlessly, I wander, lost, with weary eyes, A solitary soul, in this vast decree.
The sun’s relentless rays beat down, A fiery orb in boundless blue, My skin parched, my body worn, As thirst consumes, a desperate plea.
Mirage’s dance, a cruel deceit, Oases beckon, shimmering near, But vanish as I draw so fleet, Leaving only desolation’s tear.
Despair’s dark shadow looms so near, Hope’s fragile flame begins to fade, Lost in this desert, far and drear, As death’s cold breath begins to pervade.
Yet, from the horizon’s distant line, A silhouette emerges, a beacon of light, A figure strides, a lifeline to find, Salvation’s promise, piercing the night.
With cries of anguish, I reach out, A plea for rescue, a desperate call, The stranger’s presence, a triumphant shout, As hope rekindled, erasing the fall.
With gentle hands, he offers me aid, Water’s elixir, quenching my thirst, From the sun’s onslaught, shielding me in shade, Nurturing life, as renewal bursts.
Gratitude’s wellspring overflows, For kindness bestowed, a life preserved, In this desert’s heart, where hope bestows, A bond forged, forever deserved.
Through desolation’s barren expanse, His guiding presence, a beacon so true, A testament to compassion’s chance, In the desert’s depths, where dreams come true.
